A new worm variety is spreading using MSN’s instant message facilities, IT Observer reports. Bropia F, a variant on an existing worm, is especially dangerous because it releases the Agabot.ajc virus on infected personal computers. But Trend Micro, an anti-virus company, told IT Messenger that computer users can avoid the worm by not opening up unexpected e-mail attachments and by getting security patches that have been available for several months. Bropia F appears as a picture of a roast chicken. © Copyright 2005 by United Press International
