Pennsylvania governor candidate Tom Wolf (from left) greets Sen. Bob Casey, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, and Rep. Mike Doyle at a rally inside the lobby of the USW headquarters in Downtown Monday, Nov. 3, 2014. Wolf defeated Gov. Tom Corbett in the Nov. 4 general election.

It’s been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I have to ask: Are both the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia areas insane? Are the unions right there with them?

They all have voted Democrat for as long as I can remember, expecting something to “change.” They got change, all right — President Obama is slowly shutting down the union coal mines, Allegheny County has a 7-percent sales tax as the rest of us pay 6 percent and also has a drink tax, a car rental tax and a parking tax!

Now they put Tom Wolf in as governor so he can raise more taxes on all of us!

Tax, tax, tax — is this all they know? How about staying within your budget, budget, budget, like we working families have to do!

In a way, I can understand why the nonworking vote Democrat, because even a dog won’t bite the hand that feeds it, but I’m not sure about the rest of you.

If you like giving the government money, why not just write it a nice check?

That way, the rest of us can keep our money to spend as we wish.
