A Washington County man has been arrested on charges of robbing a bank in Shaler, township police said Monday.

Eric May of Washington is charged with robbery, theft and receiving stolen property for the holdup that occurred at 10:48 a.m. Saturday in the Eureka Bank on Babcock Boulevard, police said. They said the robber entered the bank, passed the teller a note demanding money and fled. He never showed or threatened to use a weapon, officers said.

Bank employees and other witnesses, as well as surveillance video from the bank and the Shop 'n Save store in the same building, led to the arrest of May Saturday night, police said.
