Wentworth Institute of Technology senior forward Cheyenne Noble , a Washington Township native and Greensburg Central Catholic graduate, broke the school record for career rebounds during a 54-48 loss to Emerson last Thursday. Division III Wentworth also played Sunday, and Noble now has 1,052 career rebounds. The old record of 1,037 was held by Wentworth assistant coach Brandy Trice, a 2001 graduate. Football Edinboro Junior tight end Kyle Witucki (Highlands) was named honorable mention on the D2Football.com Division II All-American Football Team last week. Previously, Witucki earned Daktronics Second-Team All-American recognition and was named to the All-PSAC West First Team. Witucki had 31 catches for 455 yards and five touchdowns. Hockey Robert Morris Junior forward Sean Berkstresser (Kiski Area) played a part in one of the biggest upset wins in team history, as the Colonials defeated Notre Dame, 4-2, last week. Heading into the game, Notre Dame was ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division I. Robert Morris coach Derek Schooley called the victory over Notre Dame "the biggest win" in team history. Berkstresser won 3-of-10 faceoffs and had one shot on goal. Tennis Duquesne The doubles team of juniors Ryan Weisband (Fox Chapel) and Michael Ortega are tied for 44th in the nation in the latest version of the FILA collegiate tennis rankings. The duo went 6-0 last fall. Weisband is a former Valley News Dispatch Boys Tennis Player of the Year. The spring season starts Jan. 28.
