A water main break near the Carnegie Science Center has closed an exhibition of artifacts from the Titanic for the afternoon.

The science center says the Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at its SportsWorks building will remain closed Wednesday because of the break that occurred about 2:15 p.m. The line supplying the building ruptured beneath the sidewalk, flooding the building's entrance and store with several inches of water. Cleanup and repairs to the water main will require the closure to last through tomorrow.

The main Science Center building will be open, with full operations. Information regarding the reopening of SportsWorks and Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition will be made available as clean-up progresses, officials said.
