This is in response to the Aug. 21 letter by Nick Nardozi ("Unequal play"). There are thousands of women in various sports who are far superior to many men.

In many wars, women nurses and doctors spent unbelievable hours saving thousands of men's lives. Tell these women they are not physically strong.

During World World II many women flew fighter planes and bombers from production plants to air bases and were excellent workers, producing these planes as machinists and working in munitions plants. Were these women weak?

Tell the women in the Navy who fly fighter planes on and off aircraft carriers they are not physically fit!

Yes, I am a man who enjoys watching some women compete in sports.
