Weaponry from where?

Regarding The Washington Post news story “Pentagon may put weaponry in Baltic states, Eastern Europe” : We the people would like to know where all this equipment — Humvees and Bradley fighting vehicles — is coming from.

How many vehicles are we talking about putting in place for allies' and other countries' use? Are these coming from some of the 2,300 vehicles lost by Iraq to ISIS, if we can get them back? Not to mention 74,000 machine guns and 40 M1A1 main battle tanks, among other equipment abandoned in place by the U.S. military upon withdrawal from Iraq.

Are these vehicles coming from the thousands of pieces no longer being donated to communities around the country? Is this all-new equipment being shipped from the United States? Is this really a defense program or a make-work project as part of President Obama's economic policy to shore up the job numbers?

As a taxpayer, I am not pleased with the frivolous care and giveaway programs associated with very expensive military equipment I helped pay to have built. Where is the oversight?
