Week 9 WPIAL picks results
Week 9, the final week of the regular season, had all these rivalry games.
It was ranked team against ranked team, one after another.
The games were tough games to pick.
Plus, there were some upsets.
Chris Harlan came out of it fairly well. He went 11-4 and finishes the regular season with a 114-37 mark — a .755 percentage. Harlan’s best pick was Thomas Jefferson’s 31-12 victory over West Mifflin. He said the score would be 33-14.
Keith Barnes didn’t fare as well. He turned in a 10-7 performance and winds up the regular season 120-46 — a .723 percentage. But Barnes did make a couple of nifty picks. He had Hopewell defeating West Allegheny, 33-30. The actual score was Hopewell 34, West Allegheny 31. Barnes also had Seton-La Salle topping Keystone Oaks, 32-22. The actual score: Seton-La Salle 31, Keystone Oaks 19.
Paul Schofield nailed his three picks and now stands at 27-3 (.900) going into the playoffs.
Dan Stefano split his two picks and is 10-3 (.769) with the playoffs ahead.
