West Mifflin man convicted in exotic dancer's death
A West Mifflin man was convicted Monday of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of an exotic dancer 12 years ago.
Virgil Greer, 48, was convicted by an Allegheny County jury of stabbing Charlene Washington, 26, in her Westgate Village home after a dispute over how much he would pay her for sex.
Washington's brother found her battered and bloodied body April 18, 1995. An autopsy showed she had been beaten and stabbed eight times.
Greer was not arrested until 2004 when police matched blood found at the scene to the former truck driver. He faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison when Common Pleas Judge David R. Cashman sentences him Feb. 13.
