State police at Greensburg will conduct a DUI checkpoint in Westmoreland County this weekend.

The location will be based on statistics derived from PennDOT and state police.

Police received an unspecified amount of grant money from the PennDOT Bureau of Highway Safety and Traffic Engineering for the operation.

The checkpoint, which will be the first of 12 such operations in the county over the next year, may occur any time between Friday and Sunday, police said.
