Police: Cash, donations stolen from Greensburg employer
A Salem woman is accused of stealing about $100 from her Greensburg employer while the store was closed and from a can containing donations to the Westmoreland County Humane Society, Greensburg police said.
Security cameras allegedly caught the suspect, Jacqueline Kromka, 31, using a key to enter Canine Confections at 420 E. Pittsburgh St., at 7 p.m. Sept. 10, about two hours after it had closed. Kromka allegedly was seen on the cameras taking $80 set aside for use when the store opened the following day, and about $20 from another part of the store and the donation can.
Kromka was arrested when she came to work on Sept. 11, police said.
She was charged with theft and arraigned before Greensburg District Judge Christine Flanigan, who released her on $30,000 unsecured bond, pending a preliminary hearing set for Sept. 20.
