Westmoreland transit buses expected to roll on time
The Westmoreland County Transit Authority announced Friday that no major delays are expected and no changes will be made to the commuter bus schedule due to last week’s landslide that closed a portion of Route 30 in East Pittsburgh.
Operations manager Meghan Yuhouse said riders on three authority routes, 1F, 4F and 4, that travel on Route 30 into and out of Pittsburgh will continue to operate under the current schedule.
After testing several alternatives to bypass the area of the road closure, the authority will tweak its route into Pittsburgh starting Monday. It will continue to operate on the detour recommended by PennDOT to leave the city.
“We’re pretty confident this will keep us as close to schedule as we could possibly be,” Yuhouse said.
