Wyano woman accused of sex with 15-year-old boy
A 45-year-old South Huntingdon woman accused of having sex with a Yough High School student after a football game in September is free on bond.
A preliminary hearing for Sherry G. Lee of Wyano is scheduled for May 13. Lee is charged with statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors, indecent assault and selling or furnishing alcohol to minors.
Her attorney, J. Allen Roth, on Monday disputed the charges.
“I think there’s plenty of evidence to show she never did this,” Roth said.
State police at Belle Vernon allege Lee picked up the 15-year-old boy and two friends about 10 p.m. after the Yough-Hampton football game on Sept. 19.
Lee gave the alleged victim and other juveniles vodka and beer to drink at her Second Street home, authorities said.
The alleged victim told police Lee was smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol during what was described as a party, according to a police affidavit.
The teen fell asleep in Lee’s living room.
Between 1 and 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 20, Lee woke the teen and asked him to walk upstairs to her bedroom, police said. Police didn’t say in court papers where the other juveniles were.
The 15-year-old boy joined Lee in the bedroom, where they had sex, according to the affidavit.
Afterward, Lee told him not to tell anyone, investigators said.
Before the September encounter, Lee had flirted with him, the teen told police.
