Dear Gov. Rendell,
On behalf of the better than 70 percent of voters who rejected your convoluted tax shift/increase ("Tax shift: No way," May 16 and PghTrib.com), I would like to explain to you that we understood this scam all too well.
We are tired of paying ever-increasing taxes so that you can hand out favors to your dwindling number of supporters. We understand that property tax relief cannot be achieved by pitting seniors against middle-aged and younger voters for a few dollars of soon-to-vanish savings.
Please feel free to forward this to all of our spineless legislators as well, who enabled this absurd plan. We will remember you in the next election. The clean sweep has just begun.
