Allegheny County will close Wilmerding-Monroeville Road next week to repair a pipe damaged by last month's flooding.

Starting at 7 a.m. Monday, the road will be closed between Howard Street and Woodlawn Drive for about a week. Traffic will be detoured onto the Tri-Boro Expressway to Lynn Avenue/Monroeville Road.

Heavy floods in the Turtle Creek valley in June damaged a pipe under the roadway, said county spokesman Kevin Evanto.
