A woman tried to get rid of more than 200 prescription pills hidden in her pants as Pittsburgh police took her to the Allegheny County Jail, a public safety spokeswoman said in a news release Tuesday.
Officers spotted a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on Banksville Road about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sonya Toler said in the release. Two women were in the vehicle. Police found a stamp bag of heroin and arrested the passenger, Danielle Thomas, 27.
While taking Thomas to jail, officers noticed she was removing objects from her pants and found 277 Oxycodone pills and more than $1,600 in cash, Toler said.
Police charged Thomas with possession with intent to deliver and drug possession. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Nov. 19.
