Woman dies in car-train accident in Big Beaver

A woman died Saturday morning when the car in which she was a passenger was struck by a train, state police said.

State police said that a car driven by Richard Miller, 45, of New Galilee was traveling north on McKinley Road in Big Beaver when it crossed into the path of a Norfolk Southern train approaching from the east.

Robin Miller, 36, of New Galilee died at the scene. Miller was taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital.

Charges are pending, state police said.
