Woman gets leg up on implants
A young Welsh law student who progressed from having breast implants to calf implants says she wonders if she will ever be taken seriously, the Daily Mail said.
Sian Mansell, 23, told the newspaper she experimented with several breast enhancements, starting out as a size 34B, and ending up at 34E.
But then, she decided her calves were too slender, and became the first woman in Britain to have implants there as well. So far, she has spent almost $25,000 on her body, but the calves didn't quite turn out, so they will have to be replaced.
"The implants are too wide and, from behind, there is a bulge," she said. "These are not the soft, catwalk curves I'd hoped to end up with."
She also told the newspaper she has experienced an unexpected social backlash.
"I've started to doubt whether I will ever be taken seriously," she said. "I'm also beginning to wonder whether I'll ever be able to find a decent man who can see past my chest."
