April Jean led three Syracuse players in double figures with 20 points on 8 of 14 shooting, as Syracuse (10-16, 5-10) held off Pitt, 71-61, on Saturday in Big East action.
Laine Selwyn led Pitt (11-15, 3-12) with 27 points and Haley Harguth added 16 points and nine rebounds.
Pitt was outrebounded 41-34 and turned the ball over 25 times.
Virginia Tech 76, West Virginia 64 -- Ieva Kublina and Chrystal Starling had 18 points each to lead Virginia Tech (18-8, 9-6) to a Big East win over West Virginia (15-11, 4-11). Yolanda Paige had 18 points and Latitia Williams 15 for West Virginia.
The Mountaineers committed 17 turnovers.
Monmouth 50, Robert Morris 34 -- Robert Morris (1-25, 1-16) trailed by just four points at halftime, but shot 19 percent for the game in an NEC loss to Monmouth (17-10, 12-6). Meghan Jent had seven points and 11 rebounds for Robert Morris, while Candace John struggled in shooting 1 of 19 from the floor.
Monmouth (17-10, 12-6) got 21 points and 18 rebounds from Rashawnah French.
California (Pa.) 79, Edinboro 76 -- Edinboro's Lachelle Crawl scored 26 points to move into 19th place in career scoring with 1,012, but it wasn't enough, as California defeated Edinboro. Becky Siembak scored 17 points, Lisa Gottuso 15, Sara McKinney 12 and Suzie Gyarfas 11 for California (26-1, 12-0 PSAC). Suzanne Petruska tied a career high with 18 points and Krystal Henson added 15 for Edinboro (16-11, 6-6 PSAC).
Illinois-Chicago 75, Youngstown State 69 -- Jessica Forsythe scored a career-high 24 points for Youngstown State (6-21, 3-13) in a losing effort. Maggie Johnston had 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Youngstown State. Zsuzsa Tarnai led Illinois-Chicago (17-10, 11-5) with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Shippensburg 82, Clarion 68 -- Emily Swingler scored 25 points, as Shippensburg (13-14, 6-6) clinched the No. 4 seed in the PSAC West tournament. Jennifer Scaffidi added 21 points and Christan Kelly posted a game-high 16 rebounds for Shippensburg. Heather Cigich led Clarion (15-12, 5-7) with 21 points and 14 rebounds, and Tameka Washington had 19 points.
Slippery Rock 73, Lock Haven 60 -- Senior Missy McKavish scored 27 points in her final game for Slippery Rock (9-17, 4-8). The victory was coach Laurel Heilman's 150th career win. Anita Charles scored 19 points to lead Lock Haven (7-18, 1-11).
Rochester 56, Carnegie Mellon 47 -- Carissa Sain shot 4 of 16 from 3-point range and finished with 14 points as Carnegie Mellon (13-12, 5-9) fell to Rochester (21-4, 10-4) in the University Athletic Association. Kelly Wescott and Megan Fish scored 14 points apiece to lead Rochester.
Cedarville 91, St. Vincent 75 -- Kari Flunker led all scorers with 22 points to lead Cedarville to a road win over St. Vincent. Kirsten Rossotti added 21 points, and Julie Stauffer contributed 12 points and 13 assists for Cedarville. Erica Hogan and Casandra Cutts each scored 17 points for St. Vincent.
Wayne State 67, Gannon 61 -- Katie Garms' 22 points and 15 rebounds weren't enough, as Gannon (12-14, 8-9) lost to Wayne State (17-10, 12-5) in GLIAC action. Keneisha Moss paced Wayne State with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Wheeling Jesuit 80, West Liberty State 78 -- Wheeling Jesuit (18-8, 13-5) defeated West Liberty State (21-6, 14-4) for the first time in 10 tries. Jill Yoder led five Wheeling Jesuit players in double figures with 17 points and Amber Ellison added 16.
Dana Lewendoski hit seven 3-pointers and paced West Liberty State with 27 points.
Pitt-Greensburg 65, Penn State-Behrend 51 (OT) -- Tish Hines scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Erin Arnold scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, as Pitt-Greensburg (22-6, 10-2) claimed victory in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship. Carly Cochran scored 13 points for Penn State-Behrend (15-11, 10-2).
CCAC-Allegheny 72, Lehigh Carbon 43 -- Nicole Fischer scored 21 points to lead CCAC-Allegheny (22-1) to a victory in the PCAA Championship. Megan Evans scored 14 points for Lehigh Carbon (16-15).
