World affairs speaker series set for La Roche

Great Decisions, an eight-week world affairs discussion program, will begin Feb. 20 and continue each Saturday through April 16 at La Roche College in McCandless

The North Hills Branch of the American Association of University Women is presenting the program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association. The first session will be at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 20, and all sessions will be at the Science Center Building, Room 103, on the La Roche campus, 9000 Babcock Blvd.

Facilitators from AAUW and guest speakers will present the programs featuring eight different countries and topics.

Subjects are: “The United Nations – Post 2015,” “Shifting Alliances in the Middle East,” “The Future of Kurdistan,” “International Migration,” “Rise of ISIS,” “Climate Geopolitics,” “Korean Choices,” and “Cuba and the U.S.”

The sessions, free and open to the public, will contain presentations, videos and discussions. Guide books are recommended and can be purchased at the first meeting or at the Wright Library on the La Roche campus. Details, contact Judy Daw, at jdaw814@gmail.com.
