Yellowcard singer to undergo surgery
Florida-based rockers Yellowcard Monday announced the postponement of several concerts while singer Ryan Key undergoes vocal cord surgery.
Key has been diagnosed with a cyst on his vocal cords and will have to have it surgically removed, Capital Records said in a statement.
"We're disappointed to be postponing these dates, but it's a relief to know the source of the problems I'd been having with my voice," Key said in the statement. "And it's much better to confront it now (rather) than later when it could be more serious. We'll be back on the road in June when we can give 100 percent."
The band's final show will be May 7 in Memphis, then break until the second week in June or when doctors say Key can sing again, MTV.com reported.
