Benny Eckerson Residence: Moon Age: 15 Family: Parents, Sharon and Steve; and five sisters, Rachel, 29, Johanna, 23, Sarah, 21, Meghan, 19, and Katherine, 17 School: Benny is a sophomore at Moon Area High School. Noteworthy: With the help of about 20 people, Benny cleared and landscaped an overgrown outdoor amphitheater area at Robin Hill Park in Moon. Activities: He is an Eagle Scout candidate with Boy Scout Troop 42 and participates in cross country, basketball and volleyball. Quote: “I wanted to do something close to my house where I could see the effect of what I did,” he said. “When you look at a before and after picture, you think, ‘You did all that work.’ It was pretty cool.”
