Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth recognized Jack Brownfield, 15, a Bethel Park High School freshman, as one of the top scorers on the SAT, which he took last year as an eighth grader.
Age: 15

Residence: Bethel Park

Family: Parents Gina and Todd Brownfield; brothers, Ben and Alex.

Noteworthy: Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth recognized Jack, a Bethel Park High School freshman, for his score on the SAT, which he took last year as an eighth-grader. He placed among the top one-half of 1 percent of eighth-grade students across the country who participated in the center's talent search.

Hobbies: Jack is a Boy Scout and plays the saxophone. He's a member of the Bethel Park High School debate and science clubs.
