Kelli Lucas, 17, of Washington was selected as a winner of a Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board poster contest to discourage underage drinking.
Age: 17

School: Senior at Trinity Area High School

Residence: Canton

Family: Parents, Dave and Denise Lucas

Noteworthy: Kelli was selected as Washington County's only winner in the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board's “Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest.” She was recognized April 6 in Harrisburg. The contest was a project for her Virtual Business class, taught by Elizabeth Husk.

Hobbies/interests: Kelli has a 3.7 grade point average and plans to attend Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C., where she will be part of the equestrian team. She has ridden horses since age 5. She volunteers at UPMC's senior assisted living center Strabane Woods of Washington and attends North Buffalo Presbyterian Church. She is a member of the Trinity Leadership Committee and participates in American Cancer Society events such as Relay for Life. Kelli is a member of the Trinity cross-country team.
