Michelle Do

Noteworthy: Do won the City Theatre 2014 Young Playwrights Festival contest. She was one of three middle-school division winners. The award means her one-act play, “Cologne,” will be staged in a City Theatre production. Before the play's performances on Oct. 4 and 5, Do will work with theater professionals to revise her play for the stage and take part in several rehearsals. Do's play tells the story of Sophia, whose memory is altered in a car crash, and the attempts by her husband, Christian, a soldier who returns home from war, to jog her memory.

Age: 14

Family: Parents Maria and Anthony Do; sisters Mariann, 17, and Marysandra, 18
