A Zambian national living in West Mifflin pleaded guilty to falsely claiming to be a United States citizen when filling out an employment application.

Brian Michelo, 31, of the 3000 block of Clairton Road, falsified an employment verification form. At the time he filled out the application, his visa had expired.

Michelo has been sentenced to time served in jail and was turned over to immigration officials, who will begin the process of having him deported to Zambia.
