Put a roomful of literary aficionados into a room together and, within minutes, you've got a house divided.

“I know everyone likes the electronic books, but I still like to turn the pages and feel them in my hand,” said Greg Semashko.

Putting debates of the merits of modern technology aside, more than 70 guests of the Zelienople Area Public Library were raising a glass in celebration of the fourth annual Book the Night cocktailer.

With sights set on a renovation that will further cater to an ever-expanding fan base, it wasn't too hard to see why this gem of the Butler County Library System continues to be so adored.

“This is where our kids learned to love to read,” said Jenny Semel (with Gregg).

Spied on Sept. 24 were co-chairwomen Debie Carbeau (with Bob) and Kathy Voltz (with Jim), Jan Lawrence, Ellen andVirgil Fleming, Linda Wahl, Dan andCarey Fritz, Carolyn Skillman, Jim Samarco, and Bob andSusan Altemus.
