A Penn Hills 11-year-old is the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium's 1 millionth visitor this year.

Greg Hoolahan, who was on a field trip Friday with classmates from Forbes Elementary School, receives a lifetime zoo membership; a $500 shopping spree at the zoo's gift shops; a framed, limited-edition polar bear portrait; a behind-the-scenes tour; and the opportunity to place a memento in the zoo time capsule.

It is the first time in the Highland Park zoo's history that 1 million people have visited in a single year.
