Federal researchers insist in a “bombshell” report that global warming hasn't paused since 1998. Despite contradictory scientific evidence, you'll just have to trust them.
That's because the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration refuses to turn over certain documentation demanded by the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology, The Washington Post reports.
Once again it appears the “science” of global temperatures has no tolerance for transparency.
NOAA has agreed to allow interviews with scientists and top officials. But NOAA Administrator Kathryn Sullivan has maintained that internal discussion among scientists shouldn't be publicized.
Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, has backed off his initial demand for the scientists' emails. But he says this “does not alleviate” the agency's responsibility to provide the scientists' deliberations eventually, The Post reports.
Additionally, whistle-blowers allege that the NOAA study was “rushed to publication” over the objection of scientists, Mr. Smith says. Of course, NOAA Communications Director Ciaran Clayton calls the allegation false.
Only under the broad banner of “climate change” — because prior claims of “global warming” didn't hold up — is legitimate skepticism so ridiculed. If the science indeed is settled, as the climate cluckers claim, that should be abundantly evident in the scientists' internal deliberations.
