Just days after officials were less forthcoming to parents than they should have been — for the second time this school year — about a Martin Elementary incident, the superintendent said a weapon was found in a bookbag at Roy A. Hunt Elementary. That was more than the district had told parents about the Martin incidents, but he wouldn't describe the weapon, citing privacy concerns. And that falls short of what parents deserve to be told.
