Penn State branch campuses agree to deal with Nike
Prepare to see a lot more Swooshes around the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Branch campus athletic programs from Penn State have agreed to a four-year deal with Nike, via BSN Sports, for apparel and equipment.
The agreement kicks in July 1.
The deal, part of the BSN Sports Collegiate Select Program, includes incentives for the schools, among them discounts and rewards for on-field achievements.
“Nike is the official uniform, footwear and apparel provider for Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, and this effort helps us connect all of our Intercollegiate Athletics programs across the Penn State footprint,” said Kelly Austin, Associate Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses. “We are excited to partner with Nike and BSN Sports to strengthen the Penn State brand across Pennsylvania, as well as provide quality products to the over 2,400 student-athletes that participate within our Intercollegiate Athletics programs.”
PSU branch schools include Abington, Altoona, Beaver, Behrend, Berks, Brandywine, Dubois, Fayette, Greater Allegheny, Harrisburg, Hazleton, Lehigh Valley, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Schuylkill, Shenango, Wilkes-Barre, Worthington Scranton and York.
