IUP quarterback Lenny Williams and the Crimson Hawks dropped to No. 14 in the national Division II rankings.
An upset loss to Cal (Pa.) Saturday night sent IUP plummeting down the national rankings.

The Crimson Hawks (4-1, 1-1 PSAC) went from No. 2 to No. 14 in the American Football Coaches Association Division II Coaches Top 25 after a 36-24 road loss to Cal in the 10 th annual Coal Bowl game at Adamson Stadium.

Cal (3-2, 2-0) scored 26 points in the second half for a come-from-behind victory. It was IUP’s first regular season loss in 21 games. Its last defeat also came against Cal, 31-18, in 2016.

The new national top 5 consists of: 1. Minnesota State (5-0); 2. Grand Valley State (5-0); 3. Ferris State (5-0); 4. Midwestern State (5-0); and 5. West Georgia (5-0).
