Lexi Irwin has played an integral role in leading the Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team to the ECAC postseason tournament.

Coaches from the conference in which she plays took notice.

Irwin, a Hempfield graduate, was named co-player of the year in the AMCC, joining Pitt-Bradford’s Riley Anderson.

A senior setter, Irwin also made the All-AMCC First Team. At the end of the regular season, she led the conference in attack percentage (.380), assists (278). She was third in blocks (27) and had 13 double-double matches.

Behrend (19-10), the AMCC regular-season champion, plays host to Wilkes in the first round of the ECAC Tournament Wednesday night.
