Pine-Richland’s Dan Petcash scored 29 points, Greg Shulkosky added 21 and the hot-shooting Rams clinched at least a share of the Section 1-6A title Tuesday night with a 95-76 victory at Butler.
Led by Petcash, the Rams shot 58 percent from the field, 61 percent from the 3-point line and have five scorers reach double figures. Petcash went 11 for 18 shooting overall and made 5 of 8 attempts from the arc.
Second-ranked Pine-Richland (16-2, 8-0) now holds a two-game lead over fifth-ranked Butler (13-4, 6-2) with two section games left.
Kyle Polce scored 14 points, Patrick Shanahan had 12 and Colin Luellen added 11 for the Rams, who led by 10 points after the first quarter and 44-32 at half. Their lead peaked at 22 points early in the fourth.
Ethan Morton led Butler with 20 points with nine in the fourth quarter. Mason Montag had 19 points and Devin Carney added 15.
