SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Peyton Manning hasn’t decided yet whether he’ll return for the 2015 season, but the Broncos quarterback said Friday he won’t drag out the decision for very long.
“I haven’t made a decision. I’m still trying to take some time to evaluate some things,” Manning said after receiving the Bart Starr Award, an annual honor given to a player who exemplifies character and leadership on and off the field. “I’m not interested in making this a lingering thing. I’d like to make a decision soon.”
Graham to avoid surgery
Saints tight end Jimmy Graham said Friday he will avoid surgery on his shoulder after testing it at the Pro Bowl.
“I’m just going to do rehab, strengthen the area. That’s what’s best — not having to take six months off and try to heal up with a surgery, but now have those six months to work on all things I need to try and hopefully get to a place like (the Super Bowl) next year,” Graham said on SiriusXM radio.
WR: Peterson welcome
Vikings receiver Greg Jennings said Adrian Peterson is wanted back by everyone in the organization, per ESPN.
“I don’t know if he’ll be back. I can’t answer that question,” Jennings said on SiriusXM radio. “But what I do know is that if he does come back, he’d be accepted with open arms.
Jags optimistic on WR
Jaguars owner Shahid Khan said Friday he is “very optimistic” about wide receiver Justin Blackmon being reinstated to the NFL.
“I think he’s paid his dues and I think he’s got his life together,” Khan said, per The Florida Times-Union.
