The Rivers Club hosting squash championship
The Rivers Club on Grant Street in Pittsburgh is hosting to the annual Three Rivers Capital Professional Squash Championship Thursday through Sunday.
Professional players from more than 10 countries will be competing beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
“Squash is life, everything else is details,” Duilio Costa, head squash Pro at the Rivers Club, said about the sport. “It's a very cat-and-mouse game. It's a game of lies and deception. It's a game of trickery.
“The Pittsburgh Open attracts some of the world's most talented, agile and fit players from all over the world to claim the title; it's a fun weekend and showcases absolutely mind-blowing athleticism.”
Attendance is free and open to the public with complimentary food and beverages for Friday and Saturday matches.
