• In the Allegheny Valley Rifle League on Feb. 1, Butler (11-2) defeated Murrysville (4-9), 1,161-1,140, and Clymer (8-4) and Fort Hand (2-10) was postponed in the A-team standings. In the B-team division, Clymer (10-2) and Fort Hand (1.5-10.5) were postponed, and Butler (11-2) beat Murrysville (2.5, 10.5), 1,146-1,090. Butler’s Kevin Dufford shot 294 to earn high shooter honors. Butler’s Tiah Popa shot 275 and was the high female. Butler’s Bob Doverspike was the high senior (289).
• The National Wild Turkey Federation in Scottdale will host the 36th annual Hunting Heritage banquet on Feb. 28, at Roosevelt Hall in Norvelt. Early-bird registration is due by Feb. 16. • Wildlife for Everyone will hold its Sporting Clay Classic on May 3 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort Sporting Clay Facility. Participants will shoot 100 rounds at 15 stations.
