Penguins fans show support for former goalie Marc-Andre Fleury
Marc-Andre Fleury didn't hold back against his former team Thursday night.
And fans didn't hold back their love for the former Penguins goaltender, despite the 24 saves he made to lead his new team, the Las Vegas Golden Knights, to a 2-1 victory.
Penguins fans showed up at T-Mobile Arena judging from the welcome Fleury got when he was announced as the Golden Knights' starting goaltender. He shared a hug at center ice with former teammate and Penguins starting goalie Matt Murray.

The Penguins fans at T-Mobile Arena (and there are a lot of them) are cheering every time Marc-Andre Fleury is shown/mentioned on the scoreboard. Every. Single. Time. It's neat to see how much he meant to that fanbase.

Fans showed up on social media, too. Fleury tended goal for the Penguins for 13 years before being selected by the Golden Knights during the summer in their expansion draft. Fleury won three Stanley Cups with the Penguins.

It's obvious the Golden Knights fan base loves Fleury as much as Penguins fans still do. Fleury will make his return to Pittsburgh on Feb. 6. The Penguins typically play a "welcome back" video for former players who return and Fleury's video is sure to be a tear-jerker.
