Pirates offering 'Dollar Dogs' nights at PNC Park

Pittsburgh Pirates food options

The team announced menu changes which will be available at the home opener April 2 against the Minnesota Twins at PNC Park on Pittsburgh’s North Side.


The Pirates announced eight “Dollar Dogs” games for the season with the first being Friday.

The “Dollar Dogs” promotion, billed as a special fan value, mean fans can get a regular hot dog for one dollar at Aramark North Shore concession stands throughout PNC Park.

For added value the Pirates are having the “Dollar Dog” nights coincide with the Free Shirt Friday promotions.

The eight Friday night “Dollar Dog” dates are:

• April 6 vs. Cincinnati Reds (7:05 p.m.)

• May 11 vs San Francisco Giants (7:05 p.m.)

• May 25 vs St. Louis Cardinals (7:05 p.m.)

• June 15 vs Cincinnati Reds (7:05 p.m.)

• July 13 vs Milwaukee Brewers (7:05 p.m.)

• Aug. 3 vs St. Louis Cardinals (7:05 p.m.)

• Aug. 17 vs Chicago Cubs (7:05 p.m.)

• Sept. 7 vs Miami Marlins (7:05 p.m.)

For fans in the Lexus Club at PNC Park on Pittsburgh's North Side, the Pittsburgh Paella will be an offering. It's a 3-foot pan that will feature items such as housemade kielbasa and traditional pierogie it was announced at a March 26 news conference.

For those who prefer lighter fare at the ball park -- the south of the border salad will be on the menu it was announced at a March 26 news conference at PNC Park on Pittsburgh's South Side. Fans can try it when the Pirates host the Minnesota Twins on April 2 for the home opener.

Pittsburgh Brewing Company introduced four Iron City Beer cans, including one featuring the Jolly Roger it was announced at a March 26 news conference at PNC Park on Pittsburgh's North Side. The Pittsburgh brew will be sold at the park for Pirates games along with many other interesting and new food choices.

Models display bottles of Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey at a March 26 press conference at PNC Park on Pittsburgh's North Side in the newly named Jim Beam Left Field Lounge (the former Hall of Fame Club). The alcohol will be sold and also used in food offerings in the lounge which is open to all ticket holders before, during and after baseball games.

Those with a sweet tooth will love the campfire nachos -- marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers which will be served in the Jim Beam Left Field Lounge at PNC Park on Pittsburgh's North Side. The Pirates announced this food item as well as others at a March 26 news conference.
