The Steelers addressed two season-ending injuries Monday by signing tackle Bryce Harris and tight end Ryan Malleck to the 90-man roster, according to the NFL transaction report.

In corresponding moves, the Steelers placed tackle Jerald Hawkins and tight end Jake McGee on injured reserve. Hawkins (quadriceps tear) and McGee (Achilles tear) each was injured last Wednesday in a non-contract drill at a voluntary offseason practice.

Harris, 29, provides depth on the offensive line as a result of Hawkins' injury. Harris has spent three stints with the New Orleans Saints, two with the Atlanta Falcons in addition to transactions involving the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers.

In six NFL seasons, Harris has made four starts and 38 appearances, with only four appearances coming in the past three seasons.

Malleck, 24, spent two months on the Steelers' 90-man roster last offseason but did not make it to training camp. Malleck spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans. Previously, he was with the New York Giants. He had one catch for three years last season.
