Report: Antonio Brown cited for driving 100 mph on McKnight Road
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown was cited by Ross Township police for driving in excess of 100 miles per hour while traveling southbound on McKnight Road near McCandless Crossing, WPXI reported Thursday morning.
Brown was charged with reckless driving.
“We are aware of the situation, but we are still gathering information. We won’t have any further comment at this time,” Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten said.
The Steelers are scheduled to play the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night at Heinz Field.
The incident comes a month after it was reported that Brown is facing a pair of lawsuits in Miami. The suits allege that Brown threw furniture from a 14th floor balcony of a housing unit that nearly struck two people on the ground, including a todder. The building’s landlord also filed suit against Brown for damages to the furniture and apartment estimated at $100,000.
Brown released a statement in October maintaining his innocence and calling the claims “false.”
