The Steelers signed defensive linemen Lavon Hooks and Roy Philon to contracts on Monday.

Both players were in training camp last summer with the team. Philon was waived/injured on Aug. 14, and Hooks was released Sept. 3 in the final round of roster cuts.

Hooks, 25, was in camp with the Green Bay Packers in 2015. He was an undrafted free agent from Ole Miss.

Philon, 25, also is no stranger to the Steelers, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Philon, from Louisville, also was with the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears.
