Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Shuster beats the Panthers' Eric Reid for a 75-yard touchdown in the first quarter Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at Heinz Field.

While Le’Veon Bell may have removed references to the Steelers from his social media accounts, that didn’t stop him from tweeting about his team during its game against the Panthers.

For instance, after JuJu Smith-Schuster scored on the team’s first offensive snap, Bell sent out a congratulatory notification.

Despite the encouraging sentiment, Steelers Nation was less than receptive to Bell’s good wishes.

I don’t even know if that last one was meant to be a joke. In fact, if it isn’t, that makes it more funny, doesn’t it?

Speaking of Conner, Bell tried to spread the love to him, too. After Conner got into the end zone in the first quarter to make the score 21-7 Steelers, Bell tweeted this message.

At this point, he is just chumming the water, isn’t he?

Yeah, the upside down tweet mockery was popular. So was this one.

For the record, Art Rooney II said he still anticipates Bell returning. He made the statements on Sirius Radio prior to kickoff.

I can only imagine what Bell’s timeline will look like — one way or another — whenever he makes his announcement as to whether he will be rejoining the club.

Actually, no, I can’t. I can’t even imagine. Whatever his decision is, I just hope he does it on a webcam with the camera turned upside down.
