It's nice to know Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield has more than $2 billion in assets; asks for and gets permission to raise our rates every year from the state insurance commission; and lends millions of dollars to local hospitals.
But it also makes us subscribers wait three, four months or longer to pay claims we file.
Is there any consumer watchdog group watching Highmarkâ¢
I guess when you're that big, nobody wants to fight you. Except UPMC.
