It’s nice to know Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield has more than $2 billion in assets; asks for and gets permission to raise our rates every year from the state insurance commission; and lends millions of dollars to local hospitals. But it also makes us subscribers wait three, four months or longer to pay claims we file.
