Illinois authorities are investigating a fracas at a Peoria nightclub that left one man with a gunshot wound and may have involved rap star Ja Rule. Rule, who had just finished performing at the Peoria Civic Center, and his entourage were attending a party at Club Ignition when someone reportedly doused him with a drink, MTV.com reported Thursday. A fight broke out and at least one shot was fired, striking Peoria resident Marshall Payton in the left hip. He was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center and treated.
