Storm causes power outages

Weekend storms caused numerous power outages in Connellsville and outlying areas.

According to Allen Staggers of Allegheny Power, 300 customers on Connellsville's West Side lost power Friday at 1:40 p.m.. Power was restored at 3:30 p.m. A second outage occurred at 8:07 p.m. on the North Side. Those 300 customers had their power restored at 12:45 a.m. Saturday.

On Saturday, 1,100 customers on the North Side and Broadford lost power from 9:57 p.m. until 1:05 a.m. Sunday.

One hundred and thirty-one Ruffsdale customers lost power Sunday from 5:51 p.m. until 8:22 p.m. Sunday.
