Weekend storms caused numerous power outages in Connellsville and outlying areas. According to Allen Staggers of Allegheny Power, 300 customers on Connellsville’s West Side lost power Friday at 1:40 p.m.. Power was restored at 3:30 p.m. A second outage occurred at 8:07 p.m. on the North Side. Those 300 customers had their power restored at 12:45 a.m. Saturday. On Saturday, 1,100 customers on the North Side and Broadford lost power from 9:57 p.m. until 1:05 a.m. Sunday. One hundred and thirty-one Ruffsdale customers lost power Sunday from 5:51 p.m. until 8:22 p.m. Sunday.
