In Rural Valley, Aaron Buzzard outscored Aquinas Academy’s soccer team on his own, notching a hat trick and pushing West Shamokin (1-1) to a 4-2 home victory Tuesday. Jake Ondich aided West Shamokin’s cause with a goal. Andrew Hyrcza and Tyler Deschants scored goals for Aquinas Academy. Girls soccer Redbank Valley 6, Clarion 1 At New Bethlehem, Redbank Valley’s girls soccer team opened its season with a dominating win. Lacey Blose scored four goals, three of which were unassisted, and teammate Nadina Kundick scored twice. The Lady Bulldogs outshot the Lady Cats, 38-11.
